USC basketball fans got their first look at Bronny James fully decked out in his Trojans uniform on the court at the Galen Center on Thursday night for the program’s annual Trojan HoopLA event to officially tip off the new season.
Bronny, who underwent heart surgery a few weeks ago after suffering cardiac arrest back in July, did not participate in any of the night’s competitions but he was involved in the player introductions.
And the fans loved it.
As Bronny was introduced, he soaked it all and hit the Dougie while being met with thunderous applause to show that he was in good spirits.

Bronny enjoyed the night watching his teammates in the dunk contest, three-point contest, and skills competition while he continues to recover from surgery.
But while he was not involved in any of the physical activities, Bronny has been recovering well and hopes to contribute to the Trojans soon — though there is no word on whether that will be this season.
A few weeks ago, LeBron James said that his son was “doing extremely well.”

The night had plenty of star-studded appearances — including performances by rap stars UG and Sweetie and a cameo from USC star quarterback Caleb Williams, who was jumped over by freshman Brandon Gardner during the dunk contest.
