The Minnesota Vikings were able to come away with a 19-13 win over the NFC North viral Chicago Bears in Week 6, and star quarterback gave some credit to a rock band for the win.

According to Cousins, the Vikings drew some inspiration from the Texas Rangers and jammed out to Creed in the locker room prior to Sunday’s game.

Much like the Rangers, the Vikings were able to harness the power of Scott Stapp and the boys when they took the field.

“Garrett Bradbury, in the locker room pregame, took a clip from the Texas Rangers and made sure that Creed got played before we went out on the field. And I felt like that may have made the difference,” Cousins said, according to Inside the Vikings. “So we’ve got that going for us.”

Respect to Creed for making their impact felt in the sports world in 2023.

But while teams have been able to use “Higher” to help them get the results they are looking for, Creed’s biggest contribution to sports will forever be their Thanksgiving Day performance in 2001.

After the Rangers and Vikings benefitted from Creed in the past few weeks, maybe the Cowboys should invite Scott Stapp back so they can get on the right track after their 42-10 shellacking from the San Francisco 49ers a week ago.
