Former NFL WR Antonio Brown Arrested; Owes Over $30,000 In Child Support

Antonio Brown was arrested outside of his home in Florida over the weekend.

According to reports, the former NFL wide receiver was arrested while getting into a taxi cab in front of his home for failure to pay child support. Brown was booked in Broward County at midnight on Sunday.

TMZ Sports recently interviewed Brown’s ex, Wiltrice Jackson, who said that he owes approximately $31,000 in unpaid child support.

“I do want him arrested,” she said in the interview. “Because, right now, he’s making a mockery out of the judge, out of everything, because he feels like he’s untouchable.”

An arrest warrant was issued by the Miami-Dade Police Department for the missed payments.

Brown’s 15-year-old daughter, Antanyiah, is a track-and-field star who has drawn interest from schools like the University of Miami and Oregon.

“By him having a daughter like an athlete like her, you would think he’d be in her corner to support her,” Wiltrice Jackson said.

The 35-year-old was later released on $15,000 bond, according to Local 10 in Miami.

Brown, who was a four-time All-Pro wide receiver, played for the Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers during his career from 2010-2021. He last played for the Buccaneers during the 2021-22 season, before his career came to an end after quitting on the team in the middle of a game.

Most recently, Brown was involved in controversy when his National Arena League team, the Albany Empire, was kicked out of the league for “failure to pay their league-mandated and overdue assessments.”

Brown was also accused of threatening to pull a gun on his players during an argument with the team.
