The Dallas Cowboys were on the receiving end of a 42-10 shellacking courtesy of the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night.
It was a terrible setback for the team which struggled to get anything going on the offensive side of the ball. The inability to hold onto the ball — Dallas had four turnovers — led to more opportunities for San Francisco’s star-studded roster to light up the scoreboard.
And they did.
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott received a large portion of the criticism after completing just 14-of-24 passes for 153 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions.
After the game, former NFL Pro Bowler Donte Whitner, who was on-air for NBC Bay Area’s 49ers postgame show, ruthlessly roasted the Cowboys star quarterback for his poor performance in the game.
Former NFL Pro Bowl safety Donte Whitner:
“Dak Prescott sucks, period… The 49ers defense made him look like a tier four quarterback.” 😳pic.twitter.com/uG4ezCVYS4

“Dak Prescott sucks, period,” Whitner said. “The 49ers defense made him look like a tier-four quarterback.”
Ouch.
A little harsh? Maybe. But when you are getting paid as an elite quarterback and earning the salary that Prescott is, you open yourself up to that type of criticism.
With the loss, the Cowboys fell to 3-2 on the season and will look to bounce back in Week 6 in another primetime appearance when they face Justin Herbert and the 2-2 Los Angeles Chargers on the road on Monday Night Football.
