Jesse Smith, a 47-year-old Florida Man, found himself in some scorching hot water after going on a joyride that caused approximately $2 million worth of damage.

Smith is accused of stealing an excavator by hotwiring it at a construction site, before driving through fences, light poles, buildings, and ultimately a Walmart in Gainesville, according to reports.

Along his journey to Walmart, Smith damaged four buildings at a storage unit center before he crashed into the shopping center.

Smith ditched the excavator after crashing through the wall and entered the store with a machete which he ultimately got rid of before his arrest.

Smith was charged with six felonies and one misdemeanor, including first-degree larceny-grand theft causing damage to property estimated over $1,000, four criminal mischief-damage to property charges, felony armed trespassing, and misdemeanor resisting an officer without violence.

That turned out to be quite the wild and costly joyride.

Never change, Florida. Never change.
