The time has finally come, and the 2023-24 NFL regular season officially kicks off on Thursday night with the Detroit Lions traveling to Arrowhead Stadium for a meeting with the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.
Both teams will look to get their 2023 campaigns off to a hot start with revamped rosters, but there is one major storyline that surfaced just days before the start of the season.
Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce suffered a knee injury in practice and his status for the game is uncertain. Without Kelce, the Chiefs will have to find someone to step up to make up for his production against the high-powered Lions offense.
