Where Is ESPN College GameDay This Week? Week 1 Location For 2023

Get ready, Charlotte! ESPN College GameDay will be making the trip to Bank of America Stadium for the Duke’s Mayo Classic between the No. 21 North Carolina Tar Heels and South Carolina Gamecocks.

Ahead of the official start of Week 1, the GameDay crew announced it would be heading to Charlotte for the Battle of the Carolinas to kick off the 2023 college football season.

Darius Rucker will be serving as the guest picker for the show.

Prior to his picks, Rucker will be debuting a new version of the theme song “Comin’ To Your City” along with Lainey Wilson and The Cadillac Three.

North Carolina and South Carolina first met on October 10, 1903, with the Tar Heels earning a 17-0 victory. The two schools have met a total of 59 times with North Carolina leading the series record, 35-20-4.

South Carolina won the last meeting between the two teams in 2021, 38-21.

Kickoff between North Carolina and South Carolina is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
