The wait is nearly over for the start of the college football season. This Saturday, Week 0 will be the official kick-off of the greatest sports season of the year. While we all anxiously await for the start of the season. Let’s take a closer look at the power five conferences. First up, we will take a look at the ACC. Here are five players that every fan should take a closer look at in the ACC.
5. Anthony Belton, OT – NC State
We love seeing our BIG DAWGS sprint & sprint well.
Here are a few Velocity PR’s from our BIGS:
Anthony Belton – 17.4 MPH
Dawson Jaramillo – 18.6 MPH
Dylan McMahon – 18.4 MPH
Jaccarius Peak – 18.5 MPH
Lyndon Cooper – 17.7 MPH
Tim McKay – 18.4 MPH
CJ Clark – 19.4 MPH #HTT pic.twitter.com/CILtY3QacC— Dantonio Burnette (@CoachThunder_45) July 20, 2023
The most underappreciated unit in all of football would be the offensive line. The OL are the first to be blamed and the last to be praised. However, no one can deny how vital having a solid offensive line can be. NC State’s Anthony Belton is looking to be a force for the Wolfpack during the 2023 season. The redshirt junior only allowed three sacks all of last season. Belton will be looking to impress NFL scouts even more with another great 2023 campaign.
4. Jeremiah Trotter Jr., LB – Clemson
Four Clemson players made the Top 100 list:
🔸Jeremiah Trotter Jr. (No. 21)
🔸Will Shipley (No. 26)
🔸Barrett Carter (No. 34)
🔸Tyler Davis (No. 66)🔥🐅 https://t.co/pgIsJiRgfN pic.twitter.com/eVF3q31yup

Yes, some of you are old enough to see great NFL players kid’s dominating on the big stage. Jeremiah Trotter Jr. looks to be a chip off the block of his old man. The junior linebacker is coming off an incredible 2022 season. Trotter finished the season with 60 tackles, seven sacks, and two interceptions. In a year where Clemson isn’t a massive favorite to own the ACC, the team has to feel some confidence with a stout defender like Trotter.
3. Jordan Travis, QB – Flordia State

There isn’t another team in the ACC with more expectations than Florida State. It appears that many believe the Seminoles to be the most talented team on paper in the entire conference. However, paper doesn’t win games. But what does help win games is great quarterback play. That’s where Jordan Travis comes into play. Travis has a chance to bring FSU back into the limelight. The senior QB will be looking to duplicate the same performance from 2022 that saw him post 24 touchdown passes with only five interceptions.
2. Jared Verse, EDGE – Florida State

As mentioned earlier, Flordia State is filled with impressive talent. Talent that is seen on both sides of the ball. Edge rusher Jared Verse has the potential to be the best overall player in the entire ACC. Verse finished 2022 with nine sacks and a total of 48 tackles. His nine sacks led Verse to finish with the second-most sacks in the ACC. Now with another off-season under his belt, the Seminoles pass rusher is looking to take the crown of sack king all for himself.
1. Drake Maye, QB – North Carolina

It should be no surprise that the reigning ACC Player of The Year and Offensive Player of The Year should land first on this list. North Carolina QB Drake Maye is the jewel that UNC coach Mack Brown was glad to see return to Chapel Hill for one more season. Maye will more than likely hear his name quite early in the 2024 NFL Draft. However, the sophomore QB is looking to surpass his 38 touchdown passes from a year ago to help lead his Tar Heels to a conference title.
