There was some unexpected news this week when it was reported that the security team for No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama shoved Britney Spears at Catch restaurant in the ARIA Hotel in Las Vegas.
Wembanyama’s security was accused of physically assaulting Spears, but the San Antonio Spurs rookie said they were defending him after a woman ran up and “grabbed” him from behind.
According to Wembanyama, he was unaware it was even Spears who was trying to get his attention until hours later.

“At first I was like, ‘No, you’re joking,'” he added. “But, yeah, it turns out it was Britney Spears.”
Wembanyama, a phenom and one of the top prospects since LeBron James, is in Las Vegas for his NBA Summer League debut.
