An elementary school employee found himself in some trouble after a little game of dodgeball.

According to a report from ABC7 News-KSWO, an employee at Carriage Hills Elementary has been charged with misdemeanor assault and battery after allegedly hitting a kid with a dodgeball multiple times.

A student told the principal that the man hit them three times — “once in the back, once in the leg and once in the face which knocked their glasses off.” The student told the principal that the ball deflected off of another student during a game of dodgeball and hit the employee. The employee then got upset and pelted the student with the ball.

Multiple students backed up the complainant’s claim.

The employee admitted to hitting the kid with the ball but says they were simply trying to teach the kid a lesson after the kid didn’t apologize for the initial hit of the employee. That was a bold strategy, but it didn’t pay off.

The school employee was released on a $1,000 bond.
