Shavon Pearson, a Seminole County Public Schools teacher, was arrested over the weekend on drug charges.
According to a report from ClickOrlando.com, the 38-year-old instructional coach at Seminole High School Ninth Grade Center was arrested on charges of trafficking more than 4 grams of fentanyl after officers received a call that a woman in a Red Dodge Charger pointed a gun at them.
Police located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop and spotted a blunt in the center console.
After searching the car, police found 8 grams of fentanyl, a loaded 9mm handgun, and one gram of marijuana.

Pearson was released on $15,000 bond.
“Our immediate concern is ensuring that students were not impacted. She was in a profession of trust and she has clearly breached that trust,” Sanford Police Chief Cecil Smith said in a statement.
A police investigation is ongoing.
In the meantime, Pearson has been placed on leave by the Seminole County school district.
