Todd McShay 2023 Mock Draft: Post-Combine Round 1 Projections

Todd McShay is back with his latest 2023 NFL Mock Draft. The NFL Draft expert is making his new first-round projects following last weekend’s NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

McShay’s latest version of his mock draft — which is Version 3.0 — features two trades and four early-pick quarterbacks. Coincidentally enough, both trades are for the most coveted position in football.

With the No. 1 overall pick, McShay has the Indianapolis Colts trading up to No. 1 to select Alabama‘s Bryce Young. Ohio State’s CJ Stroud follows right behind at No. 2 to the Houston Texans, while the Bears trade down again out of the No. 4 spot with the Las Vegas Raiders moving up to select Combine riser Anthony Richardson.

“His physical traits are exciting, and if coach Josh McDaniels can work with him on his footwork and accuracy, the sky’s the ceiling,” McShay writes.

The No. 3 pick, meanwhile, belongs to the Arizona Cardinals, who select the first defensive player: Alabama’s Will Anderson Jr.
