Skip Bayless Questions If Ja Morant Is A Crips Gang Member (VIDEO)

Skip Bayless should have said less this morning with his Ja Morant ponderings.

While discussing Morant’s questionable decision to wave a gun in a club on Instagram Live which led to the star guard taking time away from the team, Bayless had the audacity to question whether Morant is a Crips gang member.

Bayless made the comments during Monday morning’s episode of Undisputed on FOX Sports 1, saying those around the league are questioning Morant’s possible gang affiliation and Bayless adds that he has seen Morant throw up “Crips gang signs” on multiple occasions.

Here’s what Skip had to say.

“I’ve called around the league to people I’ve known forever, talking about Ja” Bayless said. “Because I was so shocked by the IG Live, how brazen it was. And I had several people say to me, ‘Well, timeout, are you sure you guys on TV aren’t giving him a pass here, like you’re not that?’ They’re asking me, ‘Are you sure he’s not that?’ Like, that’s just who he is, that he is about that life.

“And remember, he’s thrown up the Crips sign, I’ve seen him throw it up two or three times, I’ve probably missed some other times. What does that mean? Does that mean he wants to associate with the Crips? Or he got initiated by the Crips? Or he has a dream of being a Crip? I don’t know. I’m just throwing this out – that, are we missing the boat here that that’s just who he’s been from the start and we keep saying, ‘No, you’re just associated with the wrong people,’ when he’s actually part of the wrong people.”

It’s crazy that we have come to this point with the conversation with Morant, but he has sadly brought it upon himself with questionable decisions.

There have been reports about Morant allegedly beating up a 17-year-old and flashing a gun at the teen, a run-in where he allegedly threatened a mall security guard, and reports that members of his entourage pointed “guns with lasers” at Indiana Pacers security.

Morant is set to miss at least two games and there is no timeline for his return after the latest incident, but the Grizzlies star has said he hopes to take the time to better himself.

Whatever is going on, let’s hope Morant can turn things around before continuing to go down a dangerous path.
