There are some real shenanigans going on at the Dallas Zoo.
According to reports, a handful of animals have gone missing over the past few weeks, with two more vanishings this week. Dave Sentendrey of FOX 4 News Dallas reports two emperor tamarin monkeys are missing after their habitat was discovered “compromised” on Monday morning.
“It was clear the habitat had been intentionally compromised,” the zoo said. “Based on the Dallas Police Department’s initial assessment, they have reason to believe the tamarins were taken.”

The Dallas Police Department is investigating.
The monkeys have gone missing after a clouded leopard escaped its habitat earlier this month after its fence was “intentionally cut open.” An endangered vulture was also found dead under “suspicious circumstances.”
The zoo was closed on Monday due to weather and was scheduled to be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
It is the fourth incident to occur this month at the zoo after the clouded leopard went missing before being found safely on zoo grounds, the death of the vulture which was determined to be from “an unusual wound and injuries, which pointed to this not being a natural death.” There was also an intentional cut made on the habitat for langur monkeys, though none of those monkeys went missing.
“We will continue to implement and expand our safety and security measures to whatever level necessary to keep our animals and staff safe,” the zoo said.
