Georgia Transfer Rara Thomas Arrested For Felony False Imprisonment

Georgia football player Rodarius Jaiquan Thomas – aka Rara Thomas – was arrested by University of Georgia Police on Monday and charged with felony false imprisonment and misdemeanor battery – family violence charges. He was booked into Athens-Clarke County Jail at 4:04 a.m. ET on Monday, according to reports.

The wide receiver transferred to the Bulldogs program from Mississippi State following the 2022 season.

Thomas’ commitment became official just one month ago on December 22, 2022.

Details of the incident were not immediately known.

Thomas was one of the most high-profile wide receivers to enter the transfer portal. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Thomas led Mississippi State with 44 receptions for 626 yards with seven touchdowns in 2022 as a sophomore.
