NFL Announces Pete Davidson & Snoop Dogg As Pro Bowl Captains For Some Reason

The 2023 Pro Bowl will be going down on Sunday, February 5 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. For the first time ever, the game will feature a flag football game and the skills competition will finally return.

Peyton and Eli Manning will serve as coaches for the all-star game, but now we know who the captains will be… and it makes no sense.

Rather than granting captaincy to the top players, the NFL announced on Thursday that comedian Pete Davidson and rap icon Snoop Dogg will be the team captains for the game.

“I’m comin’ back to the NFL field, but this time, instead of performing, I’m going head-to-head with Pete and competing for the title of The Pro Bowl Games Champion,” Snoop Dogg said in a statement to PEOPLE. “The competition is going to go off, but we all know that Peyton and our AFC squad are gonna do some big things. Davidson joked, “I’m doing this to impress my Uncle Mike.”

Snoop will serve as captain of the AFC squad, while Davidson will be the captain of the NFC.
