Week 15 of the NFL season gave fans plenty to discuss this week. The week was filled with upsets, teams fighting for their postseason life, and for one team, last-second miracles don’t work as well when your teammates have no idea what you are doing. Before we begin Week 16 and begin our holiday trips to spend time with our family and friends, let’s have one last look at Week 15. Here are the 5 biggest winners from Week 15.
5. The San Francisco 49ers

The first team to earn their division crown this season resides in San Francisco. The 49ers are your 2022 NFC West champions after their Thursday Night Football victory last week over the Seattle Seahawks. Thursday Night Football seems like a lifetime ago, but we can’t forget about these Niners. A team that is starting a QB that never thought in a million years he would be a starter this season now has the chance to lead his team to a first-round bye. It’s Purdy boy swag season y’all!
4. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars put the entire world on notice Sunday. The Jaguars took down Jerry’s boys in an absolutely heartstopping moment when Jags safety Rayshawn Jenkins grabbed his second pick of the day in OT, taking it all the way to the house for a 40-34 win. The NFL Gods were looking over Jags QB Trevor Lawerence when they sent Urban Meyer home last season for jagging off far more than a Jacksonville native needs to do. Jacksonville has aspirations of playoff football, and it started on Sunday.
3. Detroit Lions
BROCK WRIGHT! BROCK WRIGHT!

It has been a saying for as long as I can remember, and it bares repeating. Don’t let the Detroit Lions get hot. The Lions continued their winning ways in the second half of the 2022 season, earning a downright dogfight dub on Sunday over the New York Jets. The 20-17 victory put the Lions at 7-7 on the season and continues to breathe postseason football life into the Detroit faithful. I think we have a new nomination for America’s team.
2. Minnesota Vikings

I won’t even pretend that I decided to take my Saturday nap at halftime of the Colts-Vikings game. There’s absolutely no way that a team can come back from a 33-0 deficit. Unfortunately for Matt Ryan, that isn’t the case anymore. The Vikings delivered the greatest comeback in NFL regular season history with their epic 33-point comeback. The Vikings grabbed the NFC North Championship while continuing to bury the legacy of Matt Ryan’s playing career. Matt Ryan doesn’t deserve this pain.
1. Las Vegas Raiders

Week 15 delivered many moments, but none bigger than Chandler Jones’s game-winning touchdown over the New England Patriots. A game we all expected to be going to overtime turned immediately into one of the all-time “did they just do that?” moments in NFL history. Do Patriots fans even get mad at losses? Do their fans even know what a heartbreaking loss looks like? The Pats were finally on the wrong side of history, as Raiders fans finally get their moment in the Sun that doesn’t involve any tucking.
