The penultimate College Football Playoff rankings of the 2022 season were released on Tuesday, November 29, so we are seeing how things have shaped up as we prepare for Conference Championship Weekend.
This season’s Playoff Semifinals will take place Saturday, December 31, 2022, at the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl and Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, while the College Football Playoff National Championship will be Monday, January 9, 2023, at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California.
The defending national champion Georgia Bulldogs continue to sit atop the rankings, followed by the Michigan Wolverines and TCU Horned Frogs. As things currently stand, the USC Trojans occupy the fourth spot. All four teams control their own destinies when they take the field this weekend.
The Ohio State Buckeyes, Alabama Crimson Tide, and Tennessee Volunteers are on the outside looking in.
