I’m a reasonable man. I understand I can’t always get what I want when I want it; however, after I was told that EA Sports College Football would not be released next year but that we would have to wait another year. Then I became angry. How can you do this to us, EA? We have patiently waited for the return of the greatest gaming franchise in the history of gaming. Seeing the 2024 release date is enough to send a man to the hospital.
Per multiple sources familiar with the situation, EA is expected to announce tomorrow morning around 10 AM ET that EA Sports College Football will be delayed until 2024. More details to come tomorrow. https://t.co/iatNaUnnEz

Matt Brown delivered the nightmare news on Twitter Monday night. Brown has been on point with his coverage of the returning video game. He has been the go-to source for everything NCAA College Football related.
Brown announced, “Per multiple sources familiar with the situation, EA is expected to announce tomorrow morning around 10 AM ET that EA Sports College Football will be delayed until 2024. More details to come tomorrow.”
I just obtained a copy of what EA is going to share tomorrow AM. I can't share the whole thing without nuking most of my sources but I can say that it will
1) confirm the game is scheduled to come out summer of 2024
2) confirms much of my previous reporting on features/assets— Matt Brown (@MattBrownEP) November 22, 2022
Quick thoughts
1) I am legitimately surprised by this.
2) I've been writing this basically ever since I first broke news about the game…EA does not want to just do a Madden reskin. They want the CFB game to be completely new IP.

If you’re looking for the light at the end of the tunnel, Brown also tweeted his interpretation of the delay. “Quick thoughts 1) I am legitimately surprised by this. 2) I’ve been writing this basically ever since I first broke news about the game…EA does not want to just do a Madden reskin. They want the CFB game to be completely new IP.” If the thought is that they don’t want this game to be like Madden, then I’m 100% okay with the move to delay the release. I just don’t know what I’m going to tell my assistants that I’ve already promised jobs to.
