Week 11 of the college football season gave us plenty to talk about this week. Who belongs in the College Football Playoff? Which teams should go ahead and look toward next season? Will my liver be able to handle another week of college football? The answer to the last question is simple, my liver may not be ready to handle it, but it better get ready. The other questions are a little more tricky. As any coach would say, this is a week-by-week sport. Here are 5 winners from Week 11.
5. Arizona

The PAC-12 seemed destined to put a team in the College Football Playoff this season. All Oregon and UCLA needed to do was win out, and one team take home the conference crown. Unfortunately for the PAC-12, both decided that the College Football Playoff wasn’t for them after losing this past weekend. The Arizona Wildcats had all of the college football sicko committee members on the edge of their seats Saturday night. The Wildcats could care less about conference prestige. Score one for the underdog, baby!
4. Washington

The Washington Huskies also didn’t have a problem putting PAC-12 postseason dreams to bed after they slept the Oregon Ducks. Purple reigned supreme as #25 Washington took down #6 Oregon 37-34 in Eugene. Huskies QB Michael Penix Jr. turned the difficulties down and turned the sliders all the way up with his dominating performance over the Ducks defense. I guess there’s always next year for PAC-12 playoff hopes.
3. Marshall

It was an emotional weekend in Huntington, West Virginia, as the Marshall football team took the field to celebrate the lives lost in the terrible plane crash tragedy that rocked the university 52 years ago. The Thundering Herd honored those who lost their lives with a 28-21 victory over Appalachian State. The story of the 75 should never be forgotten, and Marshall continues to do a great job honoring their memory.
2. UCONN
UCONN HUSKIES FOOTBALL IS BOWL ELIGIBLE ‼️

How about the fightin’ Dan Orlovsky’s? The good boys from Connecticut earned a massive 36-33 victory over the 19th-ranked Liberty Flames, (Yes, that is a real statement.) The Huskies improved to 6-5 on the year, which means the team will be going bowling for the first time since 2015. I’m not sure where he sits in the standings, but Jim Mora has to be high on the list for Coach of The Year nominees.
1. TCU

Is it the year of the frog? Aside from Georgia, nobody has been in more control of their destiny than TCU. The belief in the hypnotoad is almost at an all-time high. If you don’t want to see the Horned Frogs in the College Football Playoff, you may need to reassess your life. TCU has Baylor and Iowa State left on the schedule before thinking about the Big-12 title game. All I know is that I now bow down to our purple frog overlords. We’re not worthy!
