Karl Anthony Towns didn’t shy away from the way he feels about how his teammate, Anthony Edwards, treats his own body. Towns had this to say to the media on Edward’s diet, “I know y’all think it’s funny when he’s up here talking about Popeyes and all that s@#*. That doesn’t make me happy to hear.”

Powerful words from Towns to discuss how he feels about his teammate’s diet. But I think I know the real reason Towns held disdain for Popeyes in his interview. It’s because he is a Raising Cane’s supporter.
For that reason, I understand entirely why Towns made his opinion known.

I mean, look at this thing. I can’t imagine a more beautiful thing. Cane’s dominates Popeyes in every facet of the chicken game. Texas toast is far superior to a dry biscuit, and Cane’s sauce is a condiment that I would put on anything. I would eat broken glass if it were covered in Cane’s sauce.
Towns isn’t an enemy to fast food chicken; he just prefers his fast-food chicken to taste good. It’s time for Towns and Edwards to come together and enjoy a Caniac Combo with an extra piece of Texas toast.
This opinion is more of a fact, in all honesty. Raising Cane’s is the end all, be all in fast food chicken. You’re welcome.
