The 2022 college football season is now in full swing and it’s time to see some updated rankings. On Sunday, October 16, the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll released its Week 8 top 25 to give us a look at how the competition looks around the college football world.
After a wild weekend, there were some changes near the top of the poll.
Alabama fell from the top spot and landed out of the top five at No. 6 after an upset loss to the Tennessee Volunteers. Tennessee, meanwhile, jumped to No. 4.
The new No. 1 team in the Coaches Poll is the defending national champion Georgia Bulldogs, followed by the Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan Wolverines to round out the top three. Clemson sits at No. 5.
