Davante Adams has been charged for misdemeanor assault after shoving a photographer to the ground after the Las Vegas Raiders’ loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football.
According to court documents, the victim, Ryan Zebley, suffered “whiplash, a headache, and possible minor concussion.”
Kansas City Municipal Court records show the star wide receiver received a citation on Wednesday. Zebley filed a police report after the incident.
Adams has a virtual court date slated for November.

After the game, Adams apologized for the incident.
“I want to apologize to the guy,” Adams said. “There was some guy running off the field, and he ran, like, jumped in front of me coming off the field and I bumped into him, kind of pushed him, and he ended up on the ground.
“So I wanted to say sorry to him for that because that was just frustration mixed with him literally just running in front of me. I shouldn’t have responded that way, but that’s how I initially responded. So, I want to apologize to him for that.”

We will have to wait and see what, if any, punishment Adams faces from the league.
The Raiders will observe their bye week in Week 6 before returning to action on Sunday, October 23 against the Houston Texans at Allegiant Stadium.
