Love ’em or hate ’em, the Paul brothers have without question changed the landscape of boxing and entertainment. Rumors have begun making the rounds that Jake Paul’s next appearance in the ring will be against MMA icon Anderson “The Spider” Silva. A matchup that couldn’t have been on Silva’s radar five years ago now has the MMA legend looking at a big payday to touch gloves with Paul.

The rumored bout is expected to take place on October 29th only on Showtime PPV. Paul was scheduled to fight Tommy Fury until Fury had to pull out due to visa issues halting his entry into the United States. Pressure has been building for Paul to take a step up in competition, and a bout with Silva is sure to answer the questions that fans are looking for. Paul is no stranger to fighting former MMA stars as the undefeated fighter holds two wins over former UFC champion Tyrone Woodley and former MMA title challenger Ben Askren.

Silva’s accolades speak for themselves. The MMA legend is arguably the greatest to ever step inside the octagon and holds a 3-1 overall boxing record since his first bout in 1998. Silva only recently became active in the boxing realm, notching two victories in 2021 over Tito Ortiz and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Silva will have his hands full taking on the younger Paul, who doesn’t lack confidence ahead of this potential clash.
