One rowdy San Diego Padres fan learned the hard way that trying to fight on a staircase can be exceptionally dangerous.
During Monday night’s game between the Padres 1-0 loss to the San Francisco Giants at Petco Park, a fight broke out in the right field stands. In a video obtained by TMZ Sports, one man in a Padres jersey attempted to kick another man down the stairs.
Unfortunately for the Padres fan, the other man managed to stay on his feet and latched onto Mr. Padre before whipping him down the stairs and onto the floor.
That’s when two other men jumped into the melee and began throwing punches before security rushed in to break things up.
A spokesperson for the San Diego Police Department told TMZ Sports, “security handled and two subjects were ejected. We were not made aware of the fight until it was concluded.”
Something tells us the guys throwing down on the staircase were the ones sent packing.
