I can’t be the only person starving for football content. We are mere days away from seeing our favorite college and professional teams take the field for the first time, making all feel right in the world.
In the meantime, flag football took the stage on Thursday night, bringing home the gold for the United States at the World Games.

An event that I wished I knew about before Thursday night, team America lit up the scoreboard in a 46-36 victory over the pesky Italian National Team. Flag football on this level is absolutely intense and something I will now watch with every chance I get.

If you believe that you and your buddies can hang with the athletes who participated in the World Games, I’m just going to stop you right there. No couch potato is leaving the living room and getting out there without tearing both of their hamstrings in the process.
The U.S. Women’s team tried to give the country a clean sweep at the World Games but fell short to Mexico in the Finals. However, bringing home the silver is not something to be ashamed of. The United States delivered two outstanding performances for their country and gained a new fan in the process.
