Kay Adams has officially signed off as host of Good Morning Football.
Earlier this week, the NFL Network host announced that her six-year tenure as host of the morning show would be coming to an end and that Friday, May 13, would be her final episode. Today, that day came, and it was an emotional moment for the entire panel.
To start things off, the NFL Network surprised everyone by bringing former co-host Nate Burleson back to the desk. The former NFL wide receiver left the show last summer to join CBS This Morning as a co-host.
When he returned to the set, everyone was in shock.
SURPRISE!!!!!!!
For @heykayadams we have to go back to our roots.

During the final episode, Kay also addressed the Good Morning Football family and the NFL Network for all of their support during her tenure.
“Welcome back to Good Morning Football. It is my last day here,” she said. “Six years is a long time. I’ve spent a lot of time right here at this breakfast table and today I am truly just a pile of love and appreciation for it all… Thank you to every person who’s ever touched this show or chosen to spend time with us. I’m just really grateful. I don’t know the answers to where I’m going or what I’m doing or when you’ll see me next. But I really just have deep gratitude so thank you guys.”
To wrap up the show, Burleson, Peter Schrager, and Kyle Brandt each took time to share some words about Adams before signing off.

What is next for the 36-year-old Adams remains to be seen, but reports have indicated she could be one of the leading candidates to host the new Thursday Night Football show on Amazon. The NFL Network, meanwhile, will have some massive shoes to fill.
