The 2022 NFL Draft is in full swing and there were plenty of surprises during the first round on Thursday night.
As is always the case, with the first 32 picks in the draft in the books, there is still plenty of value left on the board as we enter Day 2 which features Round 2 and Round 3.
ESPN draft guru Mel Kiper Jr. took to Twitter following the first round to share his list of the top five “best available” players remaining on his Big Board.
Per Kiper’s rankings, five top 30 players remain including Liberty quarterback Malik Willis, Penn State star Arnold Ebiketie, and Georgia’s Nakobe Dean.
Best available prospects on my Big Board:
17. Malik Willis, QB, Liberty
20. Arnold Ebiketie, DE, Penn State
25. Nakobe Dean, ILB, Georgia
26. David Ojabo, OLB, Michigan
28. Christian Watson, WR, North Dakota State— Mel Kiper Jr. (@MelKiperESPN) April 29, 2022
All five players should fly off the board early in the second round, meaning we could see plenty of movement at the beginning of Day 2 as teams work to put themselves in position to land one of the top targets.
For quarterback-needy teams at the top of Round 2, Malik Willis being available could potentially be one of the steals in the draft.
