After their Elite Eight victory in this year’s tournament, Kansas is now the winningest program in college basketball history. While that title may be a fun record for fans to celebrate, the Jayhawks are more interested in cutting down the nets on Monday. Coach Bill Self’s squad is the only number one seed arriving in New Orleans, but seeding has now been thrown out the window. Two games separate Self and the program from holding up the biggest trophy in the sport for the second time in his tenure.

The Villanova Wildcats continue to fly under the radar every March. Jay Wright and the Wildcats have taken home two national championships in five years. Excluding the dark year that was 2020. In order to win their third in six years, the Wildcats will lean on Jermain Samuels and Colin Gillespie.
(8) UNC vs. (2) Duke

Could anything be more perfect than Coach K in his final year having to go through his biggest rival to reach the mountain top for the last time? This game needs no more selling point other than it’s UNC vs. Duke for a chance at glory. The goosebumps on my arms just typing that have me ready to see what will undoubtedly be an instant classic. Can UNC rain on the parade if Coach K one final time? We will find out soon enough.
