Happy Monday, ladies and gentlemen. It was an eventful weekend with the final days of the Winter Olympics and Closing Ceremony, the Daytona 500, and NBA All-Star Weekend, but that doesn’t mean it was the most exciting thing. The Slam Dunk Contest was once again met with A LOT of criticism, the NBA Skill Challenge being decided by a halfcourt shoot-off is underwhelming, and a big man won the three-point competition before we witnessed a complete lack of defense, but hey, life goes on and here we are. It’s time for another week, so let’s check in on some of the headlines we may have missed from the weekend.
- Meet Skyler from Los Angeles.
- The 12 best photos from the closing ceremony in Beijing.
- How long will Juwan Howard be suspended after attempting to strike a Wisconsin assistant?
- NASCAR rookie Austin Cindric edged Bubba Wallace in an incredible Daytona 500 finish.
- Draymond Green’s Los Angeles home was burglarized while he was at the Super Bowl with more than $1M of watches and jewelry stolen.
- Baseball fans had mixed thoughts on Vanderbilt’s electronic wristband system for calling pitches.
- A VHS copy of “The Terminator” sells online for $32,500.
