Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is speaking out in support of controversial podcast host and comedian Joe Rogan.
Rogan came under fire for allegedly “spreading COVID misinformation” after having different doctors share their thoughts on the coronavirus and vaccinations.
That led to people once again calling for Spotify to remove Rogan’s podcasts with boycotts. But, Spotify once again stood by their cash cow.
Now, The Rock is showing his support after Rogan issued a lengthy video statement apologizing for the controversy and sharing his perspective on the backlash he is receiving.
“Great stuff here brother. Perfectly articulated,” The Rock commented on Rogan’s post. “Look forward to coming on one day and breaking out the tequila with you.”

The comment also teased a potential appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast which would surely generate plenty of views.
Rogan has created the biggest podcast in the world thanks to his willingness to bring people will different views on for lengthy conversations about different topics in the world. He’s had controversial figures like Alex Jones and other far-right figures, but has also welcomed former presidential candidates Bernie Sanders and Tulsi Gabbard into the studio.
For Rogan, it’s about conversation and understanding people from all over the world, which is something a lot of people could benefit from doing.
“I’m not trying to promote misinformation. I’m not trying to be controversial,” Rogan said in his Instagram video. “I’ve never tried to do anything with this podcast other than just talk to people and have interesting conversations.”
