Kathleen Fitzpatrick, a third-grade teacher known as Ms. Fitz, became an overnight internet sensation after draining an epic full-court shot in front of her students. As an added bonus, everyone in the classroom got a free hot chocolate because she made the shot.
Ms. Fitz, who played college basketball at Rutgers, came through with the big shot and had the playground going wild.
The video was first shared by Holy Trinity School in Georgetown on December 20, and it has since continued to gain steam as it went viral from the pure joy of the kids.
As it turns out, Kathleen Fitzpatrick is no stranger to draining shots under pressure from her playing days.
She even got an appearance on ESPN’s SportsCenter to relive the special moment.
"Did they not know that you've done this before⁉️"
