The women’s college basketball season is ramping up and we’ve already been treated to some incredible matchups. With the latest week of action from the new season under our belts, the Associated Press announced the AP Top 25 for Week 7 of the regular season.
The South Carolina Gamecocks sit at No. 1 in the country, followed by Stanford at No. 2 which sets up an epic 1-2 matchup on Tuesday night at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia.
The most notable fall in this week’s poll is the UConn Huskies, who fall out of the AP top 10 for the first time in 16 years as they struggle without star guard Paige Bueckers on the court for the next 6 to 8 weeks.
Rounding out the top five is Louisville, Arizona, and North Carolina State.
