As Damian Lillard trade rumors continue to swirl despite the star guard saying he is committed to staying in Portland, the Trail Blazers are letting teams know that Lillard is being serious.

According to reports, the Trail Blazers have informed the Philadelphia 76ers that Lillard is not available in trade talks.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported the news.

“The Portland Trail Blazers have made clear to the 76ers that All-NBA guard Damian Lillard is not available to be discussed in trade talks and the franchise has no interest in moving him,” Woj wrote on Twitter. “Lillard has repeatedly expressed his commitment to want to remain in Portland on his current long-term contract, and interim GM Joe Cronin has also expressed a strong commitment to continue building the franchise around the All-NBA guard.”

The news comes at a time when the 76ers are reportedly ramping up trade talks involving All-Star guard Ben Simmons.

The trade talks involving Simmons have been “gathering momentum in recent days” with the Sixers hoping to land a top 25 player in return. It looks like Lillard will not be one of those players, which has to be music to the ears of Portland fans everywhere.
