Soccer star Samantha Kerr became an instant legend with one perfectly placed shoulder check.
The 28-year-old Chelsea forward was playing in a UEFA Women’s Champions League match against Juventus when some jackass came running onto the pitch. For one reason or another, security was nowhere to be found and Kerr had to take matters into her own hands.
After the dude made his way around the pitch for a few seconds, Kerr delivered a vicious shoulder that sent the man crashing to the turf as the crowd applauded her heroics.
Unfortunately, there was another boneheaded decision that came when the referee in the game booked Kerr with a yellow card for her tackle which led to some loud boos from the crowd.
Sadly the live stream footage doesn’t show Sam Kerr colliding with the pitch invader, but it does show her getting booked, and the crowd booing the referee for it.#chelsea #juventus #samkerr #pitchinvader pic.twitter.com/tr8Yswomhj

Sure, allowing players to hit fans can lead to chaos as we have seen in the past, but once someone goes running onto the field they should be fair game. And hey, security, don’t make the players do your job.
