The rivalry between Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz and former Florida head coach Dan Mullen has been a surprising yet welcoming chapter to the college football season. Mullen was relieved of his duties as head coach of the Gators after their overtime loss to Missouri.
After the game, Drinkwitz took his first shot on Mullen, after Mullen dressed as Darth Vader in his press conference last season celebrating Florida’s win over Missouri.

After Missouri’s win over Florida, Shots were fired when Drinkwitz threw some shade on Mullen’s previous costume choice as Darth Vader. The two head coaches continued to have a little fun at the other’s expense within the past year. Drinkwitz was asked about his thoughts on Mullen’s firing at Florida, and the Missouri head coach did not hold back his feelings on the matter.
#Mizzou coach @CoachDrinkwitz on @1010XL, explaining irony of beating #Gators & Mullen after last year’s near brawl:
“My father was a farmer, and there’s an old saying you reap what you sow. If you sow kindness, you reap kindness. If you sow jackass, you reap jackass.”

Drinkwitz had this to say on coach Mullen: “My father was a farmer, and there’s an old saying you reap what you sow. If you sow kindness, you reap kindness. If you sow jackass, you reap jackass.”
After beating Missouri last year, Dan Mullen dressed up as Darth Vader during his postgame presser.
One year later, Eliah Drinkwitz got his revenge.

This rivalry seems far from over. If Mullen does secure another head coaching position, fans need Missouri and wherever Mullen lands to meet next season. College football rivalries are the best rivalries.
