A few big-name programs are already in the middle of coaching searches for next season. With jobs like LSU and USC open, many head coaches will have their eyes on moves to big-name programs. It is being reported that Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin is interested in a job that isn’t open. At least not yet.

Andy Slater has reported that Lane Kiffin has expressed interest in the Miami job if the opportunity became available this off-season. In his short tenure with Ole Miss, Kiffin already has the program in better shape than he found it. The Rebels sit at 12th in the country with an 8-2 record.

The Manny Diaz era of Canes football has been less than ideal for fans of the program. The team is currently at 5-5 this season, and many around the program believe this has been an underachieving season for the Hurricanes. Last week, a loss to Florida State had fans ready to pull the plug on the Diaz era and look for the next man to lead the charge.

Kiffin jumps around programs more than I used to playing college football on Playstation. However, moving from Oxford, Mississippi, to Miami, Florida would be a logical choice for anyone who cares about their location. The storyline of Kiffin being the head man in Miami will practically write themselves. South Beach looking to bring the heat next season.
