If the Flordia International football program is making headlines, it is because they’ve done something really good, or they’ve done something really bad. Well, this time it’s something really bad.
Panthers Head coach Butch Davis has announced to the Action Network that he will not be returning to the program next year due to the university basically not caring about the football program.
FIU’s Butch Davis told @ActionNetworkHQ he will not return next year. “The administration has been sabotaging the program." FIU not allowed to recruit on road last 2 years, had to use Miss St’s old shoulder pads (because of no $) & uniforms are 9 years old https://t.co/RwEouTTOPz

Davis stated that the university hasn’t allowed Davis and his staff to recruit on the road for two years, and the team has been using old equipment from another program.
The longtime coach claims the university is sabotaging the program in a move that is a real head-scratcher.
Happy Senior Week!

This morning, the program just posted this on their social media, promoting senior week with the wrong date. This season, the Panthers are 1-9, coming off an embarrassing 10-50 loss to Middle Tennessee this past Saturday. Nobody can blame Davis for leaving this dumpster fire of a program.
Davis has experience in the NFL and at top programs in the NCAA, including Miami and UNC. Not sure what FIU plans to do with their football program, but the future doesn’t look bright in Miami.
The future actually doesn’t look promising for all of South Florida when it comes to college football success.
