A TCU football star is calling for Deion Sanders to be the program’s next head coach amid reports that Primetime is “in the mix” for the Horned Frogs’ vacancy.
On Friday afternoon, Zach Evans, who is TCU’s leading rusher this season, publicly called for Sanders to get the job.
Evans posted the simple message on Twitter.
We want @DeionSanders .

Sanders has been head coach at Jackson State for the past two seasons and many believe he will soon have an opportunity to make the jump to Division I.
In fact, earlier this week, Prime spoke to TCU officials about the vacancy.
“I’m not saying he is going to get the job, not saying he’s the leading candidate at this point,” a source told Drew Davison of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, “but he is in the mix. He was impressive.”
This season, Jackson State sits at No. 18 in the FCS and Jackson State is an impressive 8-1 with a perfect mark in conference play.
Could a Power Five school in Texas be the next move for Prime? Only time will tell, but it would certainly be exciting.
