Former NBA All-Star point guard Deron Williams is set to make his boxing debut.
Keeping up with the trend of having former professional athletes crossing over into boxing, Williams is slated to make his debut on the undercard of the Jake Paul – Tommy Fury event on December 18 in Tampa, Florida.
An opponent for the 6-foot-3 Williams who trains boxing and mixed martial arts at Fortis MMA in Dallas has not been decided, but NFL legend Frank Gore has been named as a potential opponent.

Former UFC fighter Chris Avila, a teammate of Nate Diaz, is set to take on Paul’s training partner Anthony Taylor.
As for Paul vs. Fury, Tommy Fury, who is the half-brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, has opened as a slight favorite.
The 23-year-old Fury is 7-0 in his professional boxing career with four knockouts. Like Paul, Fury brings some crossover appeal after starring on the hit UK reality series Love Island where he finished as the season’s runner-up.
The 24-year-old Paul, meanwhile, is 4-0 with three wins by knockout.
