Aside from Mattress Mack and the city of Houston, the entire country was rooting for the Braves to bring home the hardware. Atlanta wasn’t even on anyone’s radar to be in the Fall Classic back in August due to many injuries plaguing the team. The team went half the season without their best player Ronald Acuna Jr. and starting pitcher, Mike Soroka.
Atlanta was dealt another tough hand when they lost Charlie Morton in Game 1 of the World Series to a broken leg. Injuries couldn’t stop the destiny that was set for this team.
On the other side, the Astros didn’t get the revenge they had hoped for and were shut out in the elimination game 7-0.

The game started with a bang by World Series MVP Jorge Soler, and the Braves never looked back. A city that desperately craved seeing a champion finally got their wish on Tuesday night.
The Atlanta Braves are champions of the baseball world, while the Astros are still paying for their sins.
