The Transylvania Open continues on Friday morning with a busy day on Center Court in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The tournament, which could decide the eighth and final spot in the WTA Championship in Mexico next month, will see every quarterfinal match play out.
Out of the eight women remaining, only five seeds will be taking the court including local favorite and No. 1 seed Simona Halep, and reigning US Open champion Emma Raducanu, who the Romanian fans have adopted as their own.
The action will all kick off at 7:00 a.m. ET in the states with Rebecca Peterson taking on Lesia Tsurenko. It will be followed by Anhelina Kalinina against Anett Kontaveit. If Kontaveit can win out, she will earn her spot in the WTA Championship.
