The Ole Miss football program is launching a new promotion to poke some fun at itself.

On Thursday, the Rebels announced that the first 5,000 fans to arrive at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium this weekend will be able to cash in on some free popcorn at certain concession stands.

The promo is poking fun at Lane Kiffin’s viral comment during last week’s blowout loss to Alabama where the head coach told CBS sideline reporter Jamie Erdahl to “get your popcorn ready” before his team went on to be destroyed by the Crimson Tide. Kiffin was roasted online for the comments, and now he is able to mock himself.

You have to be able to laugh at yourself.

With another ranked opponent this weekend, Ole Miss fans will have their popcorn waiting for them.

The Rebels will be playing host to the No. 13 Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday afternoon. Kick-off in Oxford is set for 12:00 p.m. ET.
