The NBA kicked off the start of their preseason today as the media day began throughout the league.
Players get suited up in their game-day uniforms and answer questions about their expectations for the upcoming season. The newest member of the Brooklyn Nets media wanted Kevin Durant to answer the hard questions.
Maybe you’ve heard of the new reporter. He has been around the block a few times. His name is David Letterman.

The talk show legend got the chance to ask a few questions to Kevin Durant to kickoff media day, and the questions kept Durant on his toes.
Not sure if Durant was in on the bit, but he played the less than enthused athlete role perfectly. It almost seemed like Durant wasn’t even sure who Letterman was during the press conference. It has been six years since The Late Show With David Letterman last aired.

The best bit was when Letterman asked Durant why the fans call him KD. First name Kevin, last name Durant was the simple answer. While I’d like to believe Durant was indeed aggravated about the questions, another part of me wants to think that Durant has to know who David Letterman is.
Either way, I’m sure Durant would rather answer these questions than deal with questions about why Kyrie won’t get vaccinated.
