Sha’Carri Richardson is now in full heel mode, and people seem to be turning on the track and field star.
Richardson rose to stardom after qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics with an incredible performance at the U.S. Olympic trials. Unfortunately, it has been all downhill from there. Richardson was banned from the Olympics following a failed marijuana test, and finished in dead last in her return race.
Now, Richardson is continuing to be in the headlines for all of the wrong reasons.
The day started with Richardson shunning track and field star Allyson Felix, who offered words of encouragement during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Richardson clearly didn’t think Felix was being sincere, because she responded on Instagram with the message: “Encouraging words on tv are just as real as well nothing at all.”

Things only got worse from there.
TMZ Sports reported Sha’Carri Richardson’s official Twitter account liked a derogatory tweet about Jamaicans. Richardson lost to Jamaican sprinters Elaine Thompson-Herah, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, and Shericka Jackson, who finished 1-2-3 in the Tokyo Olympics.
“Not y’all Jamaicans still talking s*** when y’all gotta walk barefoot to your coconut stand everyday for a living,” the tweet read.
Of course, there is no guarantee that Richardson liked the tweet herself, but whoever has access to the account gave the message a co-sign. And people were not pleased. The account had previously liked a tweet saying silver medalist Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce looked like rapper Lil Wayne.
With the latest Richardson mishaps making the rounds on social media, people had plenty to say.
