J.R. Smith has received some good news from the NCAA.
This week, it was announced that the 35-year-old two-time NBA champion has been cleared by the NCAA and can now join the golf team at North Carolina A&T.
Earlier this month, Smith revealed he enrolled at the HBCU and had aspirations of playing for the Aggies. Now, he can officially give it a go.
“It was probably one of the most exciting feelings I’ve had in a while. I really didn’t know how it was going to go. … but to be able to actually call myself a student-athlete is a great feeling,” Smith said, via The Undefeated.
And in case you were wondering, yes, J.R. Smith is actually roaming the halls.
