Terrell Owens thinks he can still play in the NFL today.
According to the 47-year-old Hall of Famer, he recently ran a 40-yard dash in 4.40 seconds and he is holding out hope that some NFL team will give him another shot in the league.
“I’m not washed up. Once you know how to ride a bike, you know, you don’t forget how to ride that bike,” Owens told TMZ Sports. “I’ve been on the track, and, honestly, I just ran probably like a week ago. I was clocked at like a 4.4. Faster than I probably ever have in probably in a while.”
As for whether anyone would be willing to give him another shot, Owens claims he spoke with someone in the NFL who told him to stay ready.
“With that conversation that I had, they asked me to keep myself in shape — anything can happen,” Owens added. “And, so, that’s what I’m doing.”
Hey, if Tim Tebow can get a shot at making an NFL roster after a decade in the league, why not an actual Hall of Fame talent?
