The Green Bay Packers will be rocking a special throwback uniform this year.

On Thursday, the team unveiled its 50s Classic Uniform that will be worn in Week 7 of the regular season at Lambeau Field against the Washington Football Team on October 24.

The uniforms are inspired by the Packers’ uniforms from 1950-1953; the second time the team wore green and gold in its history.

“The 1950s were one of the most interesting times in our organization’s rich history, creating the bridge between two of the greatest eras in pro football,” said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy in a statement. “With the NFL growing rapidly, this time period set the stage for the construction of Lambeau Field and for the team’s success in the 1960s and beyond. We hope our fans enjoy celebrating our history with this new alternate uniform.”

The 50s Classic jerseys will be available for purchase in the team’s shop, along with a line of gear including t-shirts, hats, sweatshirts, jackets, and more.

Green Bay officially kicks off its 2021 campaign on the road on Sunday, September 12 against the New Orleans Saints.
