The Tim Tebow experiment is officially over.
After attempting to make the Jacksonville Jaguars 53-man roster after a decade-long layoff by switching to a position he never played before, the team has decided to release Tebow with roster cuts underway.
Jacksonville announced the decision to release Tebow on Tuesday.
Just days prior, Tebow made his Jaguars debut and took the field at tight end, but it was less than ideal. Tebow went viral multiple times for missed blocks and was only targeted once in the passing game in his 16 reps.
