The NFL regular season is right around the corner, so fans across the country have Super Bowl hopes.
Leading up to the season, the folks at BetOnline.ag compiled Twitter data mentioning Super Bowl 56 to determine who America thinks will hoist the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the season.
BetOnline.ag queried keyword phrases written on Twitter over the last month such as “Super Bowl 56,” “Super Bowl LVI champ” and “win Super Bowl 56,” which yielded nearly 200,000 tweets. All of the phrases were geotagged in the United States to determine who the country is pulling for.
Predictably, certain regions pulled for their favorites like the Pittsburgh Steelers dominating Pennsylvania, Buffalo Bills taking over New York, Dallas Cowboys favored in Texas, and Los Angeles Rams favored in California, but one team filled out a majority of the map.
